We find our selves poorer today.
This night, life was taken from Riki.

My friends cat, I was something like a fan. Many times I've seen him come home, on his face bruises, cuts and pride. He just strolled inside, sat by his bowl, and waited, as if making a demand. I remember this one time he got radiation poisoning and bit this
guy
He walked it off.
He destroyed dozens of competition-wanna bees, impregnated hundreds of cats, had thousands of children, and kicked their asses when they grew up.
After 15 years of being a general badass (in which he never bothered to learn the difference between craping inside and outside), he grew old. From his glory days, only scars remained. A couple of months ago he realized this world had nothing else to offer him, so he attempted suicide. I was with my friend when he gt the call ¨Riki's on the middle of the street, just siting there!¨.
The attempt failed.
Some time after his condition got worse,

he lost his appetite, started to smell real bad, his meows were soundless. After finding maggots under his chin (!)...

...my friend asked me to help him get Riki to the Vet. Strolling in the vet's office, as a sign of remonstrance, Riki pissed on the floor. That was his last indoor piss.
The vet found maggots in his mouth (!!) and on his balls (!!!), stuffed him with drugs, and we were on our way home.
Two days later, he was gone.
I do not want anyone to remember Riki as the maggot chined cat, I want him to be remembered as the cat who ravaged the Ten-sock-glove my friend used to fight him, the cat who made the stain that is still visible after many years of being pooped out, the cat who everyone loved. My friends friend, my friend, Riki.Last edited by Sex?; 08-02-2008 at 11:06 AM. Reason: grammar

Re: We find our selves poorer today.
I was afraid something like this would come up.
I didn't write in full detail, thing were done, family members were not present for the decision making, certain opinions were given, blahblah.

Even though I was a little saddened to hear the life story of a cat which died in some miscomfort, I thought the post was well written and kudos to Sex for sharing it with us.

Re: We find our selves poorer today.
I had a Siamese cat who was a lot like Riki. He's name was Coco and he was one badass cat. Could have been a member of the Badassmuthufucka's and Polar Bears side kick.
Minus the maggots, he died old. I remember seeing him lying on the ground
, with slobs of slob coming out his cat mouth
.
Goodbye Coco. Goodbye Riki.
Coco, kick Riki's ass when you see him.

Re: We find our selves poorer today.
My cat Bob died earlier this year. He was just shy of ten years old.
Alas, Bob lived fast and died young. No living creature under 100 lbs. was exempt from his wrath. Birds, snakes, rats, mice, squirrels, chipmunks, moles, frogs, newborn humans; all fell before him without prejudice. He'd swagger up and down the road as if he'd built it himself (which he surely would have, had he accepted the position with the D.O.T. offered to him as a kitten). Be it man, canine, fellow feline, or motorized vehicle; he feared none and asserted his dominance with a steely glare and stoic pose. He knew no equal.
Ball-less, his lineage lives on in memory alone, as his departure that warm January morn when he slumped from his perch upon a favorite sunning spot and face-planted into a pile of snow left no offspring and a bevy of adoring females in its wake.
I'll miss you, Bob, you little gray fuck. Sure, I kicked you a time or two as you weaved in between my feet as I descended the fronts steps every the morning. That's not to say you didn't have my respect. You had it from all.

I do not like cats, I had them when I was with my first wife but I digress......
I do not like to see any animal, especially domesticated, in pain.
We made these creatures (domestic cats and dogs)and are responsible for them. I would rather see the entire lot destroyed and no more born than see one suffering.
Just my opinion, let the flames begin!

Re: We find our selves poorer today.
You got something there. But not a lot.
People keep pets because they miss that bond with nature, or at least some psychologist made me believe that. Even dough I know loads of stories about local maniacs torturing animals, I don't think there iare that many cats and dogs suffering.
Anyway, better have the whole human lot destroyed.
Except me.
I'd be something like this guy:

Sucking milk right out of the cows tit, biacth!
