Few things
1, is there a way or could you make a way to allow background images to be used that arn't hosted directly from SC? Whenever i use an outside source i get an error.
2. When Changing your profile picture, and saving it, it has been giving me the 'upload failed' error. Also linking to it via my SC pic also failed. However, when uploading only, even after the fail message, it does sucessfully upload.
3. Could you make a way to transfer pictures to other albums?
4. Any chance where you might be able to add an option to remove the default color code for user levels? Since there is such a wide verity you can't use a dark themed background or anyone in black (founders) become impossable to read there names. If you. Kinda forces you to use a light colored background on primary and secondary content.
5. If i upload and delete and reupload the same file, the link changes by ID number. Not sure if its intended or not, or if the files are still being stored. Everything on the surface looks like its working on this one, but none the less i figured i would say something.
6. Any chance of adding mp3's instead of or even with youtube video's?
Some are fix it things but most are suggestions.Don't sweat the small stuff, and ya know what? It's all small stuff.

Re: Few things
You're an idiot, and obviously know nothing about internet business. There are several purposes for using SC-hosted images, including:
1. So that the ADMIN has complete control over whether an image is used or not, to ensure objectional imagery isn't used.
2. As PROFILES are part of the site, everything on them is considered "site content", and is thus provided by the site.
3. It also helps with the whole copyright issue.
This is common sense, son.
There's a way. It's called NOT being lazy. Delete the picture from an album (or don't), and upload it to the other album you want it in. Too easy for you, and much easier than recoding the whole thing.3. Could you make a way to transfer pictures to other albums?
Who cares? The only officially available skin for the site right now is a light background anyway. I'm pretty sure Cranium can figure out how to make colors go together without your help.4. Again, you're ignorant. I'm assuming Cranium is using a PHP uploading script, which pretty much assigns IDs based on what order a file is uploaded, not related to the file name. What's the big deal?5. If i upload and delete and reupload the same file, the link changes by ID number. Not sure if its intended or not, or if the files are still being stored. On what MP3 host? Youtube hosts the videos in the profile... so what MP3 host would you suggest? Or do you expect Cranium to give up massive server space and bandwidth for MP3 files to be hosted on SC?6. Any chance of adding mp3's instead of or even with youtube video's?

Re: Few things
Everything you asked for, with the exception of The Swollen Cranium hosted images as backgrounds, is feasible.
It is the way the profile is coded. The PHP calls to the profile pics and is hard coded to the profile pic album. I would have to literally write a php line for each file a user would want to run as a background that is located any other place but that member's album area. This ain't gonna happen.
I'll look into the other things you asked for.

Re: Few things
These are styling images you fucking moron. They simply big enough to put 'objectional imagery' infact you would have to work pretty fucking hard to do that. You would have to hand craft the images due to the fact that they skew.
Except for the profile image, which can be linked off site. And of course any image posts on the profile left via comments. Again, it's not consistant.2. As PROFILES are part of the site, everything on them is considered "site content", and is thus provided by the site.
Thats fucking retarded. If that was an issue at all, there wouldn't be img tags on the site. Are you fucking brain dead? I mean seriously? Have you EVER read any type of copyright laws? See the section where it says Fair use.3. It also helps with the whole copyright issue.
Apparently common sense isn't so fucking common, you fucking brain dead twit. I do this for a living. Now your telling me that hosting images on your site on a forum somehow breeds what? stability? It increases off site what? There arn't any pr leaks on any of the major software. There arn't traffic leaks, questionable content is covered by the fucking rules. None of these things could in any way cost this site members. Having profiles is a side option that allows retension. Something that a forum is built around. Unfortunatly there conversation rate blows ass. This is common sense, son.
the code shouldn't be all that complicated. it's a simple batch deletion page, or movement. When you actually are using multiple images it comes in handy. Assuming i was the only one to ever use multiple images, then yes, it would be to much of a pain. However one must assume that there might come a time when others may use such a feature. Use your fucking head. There's a way. It's called NOT being lazy. Delete the picture from an album (or don't), and upload it to the other album you want it in. Too easy for you, and much easier than recoding the whole thing.
Anyone who wants a dark background on there profile. If you learned how to read before trying to jump on my nuts, like an enraged buddah, you notice that it wasn't making the colors go together for the site, it was making them go together in what is called a 'customized profile'. Note: the word customized. That would entail customizing things. You do understand that right? Like if i wanted to change the colors? Yea, that would be customizing. Trying to get shit to match up so it looks nice? Thats also part of customizing!Who cares? The only officially available skin for the site right now is a light background anyway. I'm pretty sure Cranium can figure out how to make colors go together without your help.
Possable security abuse by overloading the SQL database with either injections of phony files, or if he has a file limit set for the site. Also depending on his hosting or server, there is some software that limits such things, do to potiential virus's. Next up there is the simple fact of having a bulky SQL database. As the forum grows larger, this can actually slow down the site.Again, you're ignorant. I'm assuming Cranium is using a PHP uploading script, which pretty much assigns IDs based on what order a file is uploaded, not related to the file name. What's the big deal?
playlist.com. Go there, search for a song, then click on the hosted portion. It's fucking amazing!!! did you know that some people have mp3's on there own sites? I know, i'm fucking amazed!!! of course the deadly consequences of hosting it off site should defently make this a no no!!! P.S. There are plenty of upload sites that allow you to upload mp3 files and most browsers will parse and play them. Amazing!!! welcome to the interweb!!!On what MP3 host? Youtube hosts the videos in the profile... so what MP3 host would you suggest? Or do you expect Cranium to give up massive server space and bandwidth for MP3 files to be hosted on SC?Don't sweat the small stuff, and ya know what? It's all small stuff.
