My internet sucks worse than it ever did

They just blocked FY for being "pornographic" and violating GO#1.

Not that it matters, since that site's a dying breed anyway. However, effective in about a month, they're putting data usage restrictions in place, allowing 75MB download and 25MB upload per user per 24 hours. That's not just downloading Winzip and uploading a picture to Photobucket. That's TOTAL TRANSFER... including loading webpages, sending emails, etc.

And they're still charging the outrageous price of $65.00 a month for the shit.

Of course, they can get away with it all because they're the ONLY internet service provider here. Fucking bastards.

Most places you can get Internet service through your cell for around twenty bucks a month and a onetime software fee for your computers. I have it for my laptop when I'm on the road. Sure is a tad slower, but still faster than dial-up.

Yeah... I'm in the Middle East on a Forward Operating Base. No such luck.

EDIT: In fact, the current cell phone network here is unreliable for simple voice calls, being that we (the military) BLOCK a lot of the radio signals (on base at random times/locations) due to radio controlled IEDs.
