Jury finally decides on Princess Di
LONDON - A coroner's jury returned the most serious verdict within its power Monday, ruling that Princess Diana and her boyfriend were unlawfully killed because their driver and pursuing paparazzi were reckless — behavior tantamount to manslaughter.
Criminal charges were unlikely, however, because the incident happened in France outside the jurisdiction of British authorities.
Rejecting claims by the father of Diana's boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, that the couple were murdered, the jury concluded after six months of testimony they were victims of reckless speed by their drinking chauffeur and the pack of photographers chasing after them in Paris in 1997.
"The verdict is unlawful killing, grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles and of the Mercedes" carrying the couple, the jury foreman announced.

It was Dodi's father, Mohammed Al Fayed that made this case come to court when it did. He is completely committed to the 'fact' that they were murdered by the British Establishment, and that it was a conspiracy resulting from Diana's recent betrothal to Dodi - this engagement has never been proven or confirmed by any of their personal friends.
Still....
Twas a sad day I will never forget.

Damn... Its taken them this long to figure this out? And '97 was ten years ago? Jesus... Where has the time gone?
Shouldn't there be a statute of limitations on shit like this, though? After ten years, how can any of the evidence or whatever still be valid?

Re: Jury finally decides on Princess Di
Who even gives a fuck about that high society skank whore. I can't believe the kind of money to even investigate such stupid bullshit. The drunk bastards lost control and wrecked. End of story.
Would they have made that big a deal if it would have been you or me. What have they gained in the past 10yrs of investigations? NOTHING!
#1-They were drunk.
#2-The Dudes with cameras were chasing them.
#3-Stupid bastard lost control.
End of investigation.

Re: Jury finally decides on Princess Di
For your information, the reason it took so long is because a very wealthy man lost his son in that crash and if it had been me, I would have done the same.
You also have to factor in the differences in the legal system of the two countries involved.
Princess Di was a very respected woman from all over the world and she was a champion to peace and a thorn in the ass of weapons manufactures, especially the makers of mines.
I personally thought she was a cool lady. Such a tragic ending.Last edited by KommieKat; 04-28-2008 at 11:05 AM.
