Yeah Go Me!
Yesterday I spent about 6 and 1/2 hours in a tattoo chair getting work done on my newest.
This is just the outline, will post more as time progresses.
Yes that tail goes all the way around my wrist, yes it fucking hurt, and no I didn't say anything about it. Next time I am bringing a book to read, though.I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

This is gonna be the general idea for the colors...with a few modifications such as using more orange with the red areas for a "fire" effect.

Never really been a fan of the colored tats.
To each their own I suppose, but in my opinion a nicely shaded pure black tat is much better looking then one with all kinds of colors and shit.

I'll assume you didn't just put a dragon and yin yang on yourself for life because it looked neat and cool and you weren't aware of the meaning of either, and that neither really has anything to do with who you are...
So, assuming that isn't what you did, sweet tat.I can haz signicher!

Love it Slim. I really liked the way you worked the dragon around the ying yang. Coloring is gonna be a bitch...when do you plan on starting on that?

The tats I got before were all black and shades. I felt it was time for color.
Good assumptions. Every tat should be meaningful, though they are addictive. I have a story for all of mine. I was going to tell those stories here, but I think that's something better left for later. So yeah I went and typed it all out and then said fuck it and deleted it and there went 20 minutes of my day lol.I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

Its a thought....but no. The rest of it would look rather empty and that seems like it would hurt. Also (and I'm just throwing this out there) that would require someone to have my wang in their hand for quite some time. If its a guy Little Skeeter will prolly try to hide, if its the hottie that works there....well something altogether different might happen
Getting the shading done next month...might start coloring it in. Thinking about something to go on the backside of my arm, too. And perhaps a background for the dragon. Dude is gonna put white in the yin yang for me, as well.I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

Nice forearm. Any talented artists up in here that wanna design Josie's back tat?

Too funny. I just got a really similar tat done about two weeks ago...

Was born in the year of the dragon.
Also, I'm with Lefty. I fucking hate colored tats. They look plastic to me. I've got over 30 and they're all black.

Yay! It looks fucking awesome! I will wait patiently for the finished result.

Thanks, though I know its not to your tastes. I was wondering the same thing, though. Does anyone here have some awesome drawing talent? I have an idea for a back piece, as well.
Now you, I know, like dragons! lol. Thank you, I'm now rather impatient about getting this done, but its going to be worth it in the end, I think.I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

You are doing just what Charles Manson, war-torn veterans, criminals, primitive tribal members, rogue bikers, drug addicts and other seedy people have done to themselves.
Personally, it makes little sense that one would want to mimic the behaviours of people who voluntarily hurt themselves and find no other positive way of expressing themselves except through pain, bleeding and permanent scars. It's akin to "emo" mentality.
...just saying

If you don't have one, you can't understand. Its not emo, but the pain is a part of it. There are not scars and very little blood, unless the needle manages to hit some capillaries or goes too deep. Unless, as Neg said, you are one of those people who gets them just because they look cool (which is lame and retarded, if you ask me) they come with a story, and are a way to commemorate a "mile marker" in your life. They grow as you do and are sort of akin to keeping a scrapbook or a photo album.
At least thats how I see mine. Others may have a different opinion.Last edited by SlimSkeeter; 06-22-2009 at 08:08 PM.

No, I don't have any and I don't understand.
There may be minimal blood and short-lived pain...but there are scars...you are in fact scarred for life.
You have your own personal reasons for getting yours, and I respect that, but are you willing to explain to everyone that means anything to you, for the rest of your life, why you are now a marked man?
Not everyone will view them like you or the majority of members here. You will have 40 years of employers, relatives and friends of your loved ones, and others who will view them with disdain. You could blow your chances for that job you really wanted or that girl you would have given your right nut for.
Whatever, in 40 years time when the color has vanished and the outline is one blurred mess...you will think back to Scarlet and say...fuck me, that skanky moll was right.

I am careful to have mine where they can be hidden, if the need arises and I'm back looking for a job. And honestly, if that "girl I really want" is so disgusted by my tats that she wants nothing to do with me, shes a bit too shallow for me. I dunno about there, but here blue collar employers don't tend to look down upon tattoos and piercings anymore. They run rampant in the US. Which is why I tend to look down at the ones that are there purely for decoration. If there is no story involved, then there is no reason for them, to me.
You can call it a scar, if you like, and I respect your thoughts and feelings about tats as a whole. They aren't for you, and that's ok. Not everyone is suited for them. But in 40 years when they fade, I still won't call you a skank, dear. I save that for people I don't like ;)I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

My father got a tat shorty before shipping out during WWII.
61 years later as he lay in the coffin it was still a clearly defined eagle.
Your statement is ONLY true if Slim :
1. Gets a tat done by a fucking mongo.
2. Fails to take care of the tat area AND himself during the healing process.

My back piece was a 3 month healing process because I STILL had to wear a uniform and gear and It was in a location that I could not easily reach.
As a result I have hella dry skin now.
Look at the line of Aveeno products .. they are a non fag way to take care of your skin, tat or not.
I use both of these.
