Heelarius high heels for babies go on sale

The tiny stilettos, called Heelarious, are intended for babies up to six months and come in hot pink, black and leopard print.
Britta Bacon and Hayden Porter, the American inventors of the footwear, said the heels are only for show and will collapse if any pressure is put on them.
Christopher Cloke, head of child protection awareness at the NSPCC, said: "This is part of a worrying trend of inappropriate clothing being marketed at young children."

Miss Bacon said she hit upon the idea for the shoes while walking to her daughter Kayla's 4th birthday party. She said: "It would have been hilarious if I could have brought Kayla to a party in high heels when she was a baby."
The $35 (£17.80) shoes, which come in six different styles named after the inventors' children, are on sale at over 50 stores in America, Canada and Switzerland. British parents can purchase them from internet retailers.
In April supermarket giant Tesco was criticized for launching padded bras for girls as young as seven. The "bust-booster" bra, which costs £4, was sold alongside vests in the supermarket's seven to eight-year-old range.
It was the latest embarrassment for Tesco, which in 2006 removed a pole dancing kit from sale after being accused of "destroying children's innocence".
Asda was also condemned for marketing black lacy underwear to nine-year-old girls.
Last year the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, said children were being psychologically damaged by inappropriate "sexy" clothing and toys.

Thats kinda dirty. Reminds me of those kiddy beauty pageants where the 9 year olds are made to look like they are 20. Fucking pervy.
I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?

Good god. No.
children were being psychologically damaged by inappropriate "sexy" clothing and toys.
I completely agree with that statement.
In my own personal experience, mainstream media confuses and intoxicates.
I grew up a tomboy - always outside, playing in the dirt, the rain, the whatever.
My husband was a TV baby. From birth, the TV was used as a babysitter in his home. His father also felt it was a rite of passage to view porn, sleep with random chicks meaninglessly,etc...
In our relationship alone, it's caused huge issues. His expectations of women are greatly unrealistic. It had not occurred to him until marrying me that women in magazines, lingerie ads, on TV and whatever are done up to look a certain way and are also airbrushed to look ideal. The idea that those same women, without make-up and expensive clothing would look normal or average was ground shaking for him.
The idea that it IS normal and okay NOT to be a size 00, while simultaneously being healthy were..... not things he wanted to hear.
I am not the most attractive female there ever was - and yeah, people have different tastes... but I AM attractive enough that it should be okay how I look.
Another thing. While he has very unrealistic expectations of women because of media-poisoning, his expectations of HIMSELF to land the kinda chick he fantasizes about are nill, nada, non-existent.
That's why I say shit like this is intoxicating. When the most superficial ideal is mass-marketed, it's available to everyone. For doing nothing at all. You give something to someone for free long enough, they'll come to feel entitled - and for doing naught.
I do not want to saddle my children with these same issues. However, it's everywhere. All the time. And it's reinforced by my tacit compliance to constantly strive for his ideal, though I know I can never truly achieve it.
It's really a sick thing, and it won't end. Men and women both are to blame.
It irks me that feminists blame men for objectifying women. It isn't just men. If the females all go along with it - who's perpetuating it, then?
Example: Infidelity is unacceptable in Westernized cultures.
You really think the MEN are driving that one?
Grr. I could go on and on with this topic...

I do not understand why any parent would want their baby in high heels. Personal I love shoes and my daughter has always had way more than she needs but never ever anything like that.

Speaking as a male that grew up looking at that "media ideal" I found I had to take stock of what was real. I spent a lot of time outside as a child but I was also exposed to what mainstream media portrayed as "women". I put quotes there because the reality is just about a polar opposite.
I've found that women in general try too hard to fit into this mold of what our society thinks of as beautiful. Super skinny with no brain in their heads to mess up the dreamscape. Its disgusting. We end up with eating disorders and neuroses stemming from not living up to that ridiculous ideal vision of beauty. I am not a fan of a shit ton of make-up on a woman, nor do I think that its her duty get made up ever single day. If it makes you feel good, then go for it, but by no means is it necessary. Nor is it even attractive to me for a woman to be supermodel skinny. In fact, that's been a turn off more times than not.
Those kiddy beauty pageants and stuff like that only serve to further warp the minds of young boys and girls, which is just feeding the downward spiral. And the fact that they are now making high heeled shoes for kids who can't even walk is sickening. We are going to end up with a society of near suicidal women trying to pry themselves into the ever striven for size 00 and men who won't look past the surface to find a female who is actually worth putting time into. Its pretty much what I would call brainwashing.
Thankfully I wasn't poisoned by that idiotic ideal all too much. At least, I'm able to realize that women come in all shapes and sizes, some of which are attractive to me, some of which are not. That's life. On top of that, though, is this: I can find the most pretty woman in the world, and if she can't hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes, I want nothing to do with her. If she turns out to be a C*** then its an instant and permanent turn off. Being this way, I'm confident that I'm going to end up with someone who actually makes me happy in the end. However, most boys and girls growing up now don't really know whats going to make them happy because they are being told from a very young age that you either have to be perfect or nobody wants you. Look at Disney, for gods sake! All the "good girls" are wasp waisted and beautiful while the "bad girls" are fat and ugly. What a message!!!I'm sorry, but, you can take your can-do attitude and fuck it 'til it's raw. Can you do that? Can you?
