This forum will operate on a rank system.

One will acquire new user group status as one's time and input on this forum advances.

User groups are closely tied to user post counts, however, the post count ALONE is not the only factor calculated in attaining a new rank (user group).

Infractions, warnings, negative peer reputation, worthless postings, post whoring will all effect the way a user gains (or loses) rank.

A temporary ban or consistent pickering or out right tactless interaction with staff members could, theoretically, remove ONE rank from a user and place them in the next lower user group.

Users will acquire more robust user features as they gain rank, so it behooves a user to post and to remain active in order to acquire those features that are already found in the user group 'FOUNDER'.

I will post the user ranks in this thread.

It is a work in progress.......

This is the 1st unrestrained user group. Moderation of posts and threads is no longer imposed.

During this 'n00b' period you will be allowed a time to make mistakes and ask the occasional "dumb' question.

Other user groups WILL afford you this time to get on your feet and they will not be permitted to verbally attack you in any manner until you have a few posts to your name. However,
if you come here to just be a trouble maker you are fair game.

N00b : Post count of 0 - 49

Promotion and demotion ... a user's guide.

A member gains access to features as their time on target increases.

A user can have a positive or a negative presence on this forum.

I loath using the BAN feature and will make every logical attempt I can to keep from banning a member.

So ...

1. Promotion;

I will selectively promote a user irrespective to the normal user group promotion scheme if I and the moderators
feel that the user in question has had a beneficial impact on the forum above and beyond those of his/her peers.

2. Demotion;

I will demote a user down one or more user group levels if I and the moderators feel that that user is a leech,
troll, instigator or general drain on the forum. Simply being an asshole does not mean I will demote a user.
But continually and aggressively besmirching this forum and making a general nuisance of one's self will most likely get you placed in a group that has less privileges.
Infractions, warnings, negative peer reputation, worthless postings, post whoring will all effect the way a user gains (or loses) rank.

Prior to demotion I, or one of the Mods, will have a PM conversation with the member in order to layout the situation and ways to litigate, mitigate.

If a member acts like a fucking noob ... so be it, they can be a perpetual noob.

Senior member.

I'll discuss this in the near future, as I need to rework the entire user group hierarchy.
