And the senior crew are in jail as of today. No clue as to what/why yet but plenty of speculation is flying about.

Fuckin nice, huh? I read somewhere that some of the charges against the captain include abandoning ship and (well duh) sinking a ship. Or some such jazz...

Yup !!

Carnival cruise lines (owner of most of these massive floating cattle cars) has as of yet not answered any of the claims of the surviving passengers saying the crew were a bunch of clowns during the chaos.

And from a bit of searching I've found that the area the boat ran in to is a favored spot for these big bastards to cross. Its well mapped, and gps'd down to less than a meter of error.

The telemetry boxes came off today and will be analyzed soon supposedly.

"More than 40 people were injured with broken limbs and concussions suffered as they scrambled to leave the ship."

Not such a big deal, wake me when the body count is note worthy.

This has Hollywood blockbuster written all over it. I can picture it now, a tear jerking story of a young couple who just found love and then tragedy strikes as their cruise ship sinks. In the final scenes the gentleman shows how deep his love runs for her as he lets the woman float on a piece of wreckage as he stands in the knee deep 78° water for the 45 minutes it takes them to realize they can just walk to shore and grab some mai tais from the nearby beach resort.

Nice looking little cove there. I'm sure there's some good scuba diving to be had.

The only thing the 'news' is good for lately is speculation and character defamation.

No real cause type facts have been released yet.
