Kind of gay... doesn't require much thinking, just requires knowledge. Mensa isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Okay... it's not as much fun when the answer to an entire quiz is one quick Google search (which I tried after posting the above).

Yea, my brother belongs to mensa, i declined because i don't believe in the originzation. People to want knowledge. to 95% of the population it's useless unless they CAN come up with the same knowledge. Given enough knowledge of history you can pretty much predict it. Yet if you tell someone, they wont believe you, and do it anyways. So you must work with them to find such an answer. It is human nature to hear, and disguard knowledge till it becomes so apparent that you cant see anything else. to believe we are individuals, and for us the answer is not the same, because we are smarter, stronger, and better then anyone else. Even within those who constantly feel like shit about themselfs, this trait is ever present, we call it choice. Yet choice isn't about making the right decision, it is about excersizing your individuality and freedom. Thus by trying to be the exception we are all the same

The average soldier makes far more of a differnce then the average mensa scholar. Which is to say, very little. It takes an army to change things, and it takes a ready world to find the logic in the scholars knowledge. That is why so many scholars where killed and called heretics. artists are only genuis's after they are dead, because there knowledge, there art, paves the way for its own acceptance. So who gives a fuck about mensa. When they put the finest minds in the world together they where less effecient then einstien working alone. Why? Because in a room full of the best, everyone thinks there idea is better. Again unless obviously wrong, they will argue till dead. people that predict the future are only believed till AFTER the fact. regardless of how accurate they have been before

But the "mensa scholar" is still alive whereas the soldier is in some foreign country most likely to be brought back in a body bag because they were defending our freedom like Iraq or Granada.

I wonder who is the smart one.

being alive doesnt make you smart. being alive longer doesnt make you smart nor does it give you a better life. Living with honor is important to many peoples lifes. There idea of honor may differ from yours, so our view on their honor is uninportant. For them the very fact that they are living for there beliefs is important. So a soldier may die at 25 being completely happy, where a mensa scholar could die at 90 and be miserable because he decided not to enlist in a war that he believed in. The opposite is true as well.

You of all people should recoginize the 'its not how long you live but how you live' that was originally spoken by buddah.

You declined Mensa?

That must have come in the same week you declined to grasp the English language. You strike me as three shades* shy of mentally handicapped - and at no stage did I ever think you were high school graduation material, let alone Mensa material.

Fuck off.
