Nope, not ever again.

For US President that is. Why bother voting in a Presidential election where by the time we get to the primary there has already been about a BILLION dollars spent on media spots and so on amongst the contenders.

So really .. why am I voting for a dude that is sponsored mainly by a big business contribution base. <-- Ironic since they all seem to be 'anti rich bastard' during the run ups.

And also we have this perpetual idiocy on both sides of the main parties. Republicans wanna shove a bible up everyone's ass and Democrats wanna move a homeless unwed non-white mother into everyone's living room. What the hell? How is it that for all of my life I can remember EVERY national election being so goddamn polarized one way or the other.

Hell, I'm not 100% uncompromising on 100% of everything I have opinions on .. and I know NO ONE who is, but how is it that every fucknut politician seems to be dead set on their talking points and is afraid to entertain a differing viewpoint?

We continually elect a dude that is 'supposed' to be one of us, like us, from us and FOR us. Yet he and his posse spend tens of millions of dollars to get in the white house and somehow .. somehow WE are supposed to believe that he is NOT beholden to anyone for that 100, or 300 million it took him to get there? What the fuck?

I'll never vote for President again because it does NOT matter.

I will continue to vote locally. I will START fully investigating who is actually on the tickets in my state to include their past voting records if they are an incumbent and I swear that if I see a pattern of voting the "party" line on a majority of things that dude will NOT get my vote because to ME that demonstrates an inability to make tough decisions.

Isnt it natural that an election becomes polarized when it is effectivly just two parties that compete?

It seems to have become that way.

Why should I accept it as being "the way" though? I can't get behind ANY of the republicans and none of the democrats. They are too high on their pedestals and refuse to accept that the US is fucked by social programs and TOO MANY people and a failed and doomed SS program as well as a bloated military due to foreign combat actions.

Also .. why the fuck is it a taboo for an unmarried agnostic to run for presidency in my country? What the hell is up with that?

I figured out not to vote for president when I was 22.

Thanks for comparing your lack of civic involvement and probable "can't be bothered to care" attitude with my dissatisfaction with the system.

Fail.

That's why I took pictures of me soaking a US flag in the guts of a rag head.

Move along now silly fool.

As I think I've said before, when I was younger I was Republican. A few years back I turned Democrat. Now, I look back on myself and wonder what the fuck was I thinking?

The idea of "Democrats" and "Republicans" is so fucking mind-blowingly stupid. The idea of party lines makes me want to crap myself. You can see the failure of the democratic system beginning to happen. It is no longer the "will of the people" that is being represented, but the will of the party, which ever one so happens to gain the most votes from the fucktards who can not get their life straight, which is represented. There is no more compromising.

I, for one, will keep voting, probably because I am an idealist... which may also be easily swapped with idiot. But I also haven't reached the sweet tender age Cranium has, either.

When and if I do slap my seal of approval on a candidate, everyone I know will have heard earfuls of why I'm willing to vote for them. This person will probably not be republican or democrat, and if they are.. they probably will have spent a good portion of their campaign explaining why they don't exactly fit the bill for that party's normal representative.

I'm certainly no run of the mill hard-core anti-gov't anarchist or anything, I just don't believe in casting a vote for someone I can't stand behind... and let's face it. I'm from Illinois. As far as politics are concerned around here, there's no such thing as an honest politician. Just thinking of the words 'honest' and 'politician' together gave me a decent belly laugh.

I have hope for the internets. For once in our miserable tax-ridden, corporation-ridden country there's a slight chance some meager hero might rise above the overly-bribed shit politicians of the day. I may just vote for that person.

Aww, man.. I sound like one of those crazy conspiracy theory people types. I'm really not. It's mostly just laziness. I refuse to believe Fox news (or basically any other news channel) but all-in-all I'm not actively seeking conspiracy. I just think most of those douches remind me of those assholes from high school... and to be honest, I was ever-so-slightly smarter than most of those douches.

They may be easy to win, loyalty-wise. Fuck em all, as far as I'm concerned. They probably like Jimmy Buffet. Would some geeky Jimmy Buffet loving asshole be in my corner? Probably not. So I'll be damned if I vote for them.
