Parents held after girl, 7, starves to death

A seven-year-old girl has starved to death and her five siblings have been taken to hospital suffering from malnutrition after being found in their home in an emaciated state, it was disclosed on Wednesday.
Khyra Ishaq was found by the emergency services at her home in Birmingham on Saturday and died shortly afterwards in hospital. One of Khyra's siblings is understood to be in a critical condition.
After police arrived at the house, the children's mother, Angela Gordon, 33, and her partner, Junaid Abuhamza, 29, were arrested and charged with neglect. They have been remanded in custody.
Last night, their next-door neighbour said that Khyra had taken bread from their bird table. "Her mother said someone had been giving her daughter bread from our garden," she said. "I didn't want any trouble and told her we had not given her daughter anything."

People tend to look the other way these days. They don't want to get involved or "into trouble" because it is "not my business".

I was a teenager and had no car to get around. So I waited at the bus stop along with a bunch of other people. All adults by the way. On the other side of the street was a drunk guy yelling at a kid. The boy was maybe 10. The guy starting pushing the child. The boy had a little poodle mix. The dog tried to keep the guy from hurting the kid and ended up getting kicked. I was the only one out the entire crowd that told him to stop. Actually I yelled at him.

I draw a line when it comes to kids and animals. They have a hard time defending themselves.

That 7-year old girl... didn't she go to school? If so, why didn't the teachers notice what was going on with her?

Wow, those poor children. :yociexpress09: Those neighbors are assholes! If you suspect anything wrong, CPS or the cops should be called right away. Why the fuck do people always just turn around and act like they don't notice it? I've called CPS on certain family members because I felt their kids were being neglected. I don't care, it's not about the adult, it's always about the child. Children, animals, and the elderly are always the fucking targets. It's sickening.

I grew up poor, and sometimes homeless, and even I never got that bad. Shit little girl, go out spanging, buy a can of cat food for 89 cents. Its good with salt, and you will not starve. Thats the problem with the United Kingdom, and it's black children, they can't hang.

Thats how it was when I was growing up. Always stick to Fancy Feast, nothing else compares. Exept maybe Free Share, but I dont think they have that anywhere but around here.
