The SwollenCranium's chat box is really easy to use
You can :
Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then submit it by pushing the return key or by clicking on the OK button.
Format the chats :clicking on the BBCode button, (right side) you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat
by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one
of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
Access to the different channels : you MAY have access to different channels restricted to only some user groups The different channels are accessible
from the buttons on the left of the chat box.
YOUR group will only see YOUR channel and the general channel. Other channels remain hidden to you, for example there is a STAFF only chat channels already active.
( note: this is not activated yet for general membership ... its part of a larger scheme to be announced soon)
Edit your chats : the editing of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it. ( slow double click )
Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on YOUR user group.
These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc...
Notice that to the left of a user name is a white triangle. Clicking that triangle will activate a drop down menu.
You may or MAY not have additional commands here.
Basically .. if you don't see it you don't get it according to your user group.
If you are a N00B you are ONLY able to post and view, nothing else.
FOR MODS:
Additional commands are available to you .. be careful .. some can only be UNDONE by using a command string.
