I've got a 500 giga HD partitioned in half.

C drive is for the OS and apps.
E drive is for movies, pics, music and other oddities.

On C drive, there are My Music, My Games, My Pictures.
I want to have those on my E drive.

Question: How do I make a path from those folders on C to same folders on E with those relative files in the relative folders?

Before, I had left them empty and used 'Rocket Docket'.

Thanks

Click on the Start button, and select Run.
In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders' key, right-click on the 'My Music' String Value and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the new path like 'E:\Documents and Settings\Guest\My Documents\My Music' for 'My Music' folder in the Value Data field and click on 'OK'.

And the same for the rest, of course, with the appropriate paths etc etc

Hey man, thanks!
You must be PC Wiz kid!

So, if I click on the My Music in the C: Drive, it will lead to E:\My Music, yes?

E drive shows only: My Video, My Pictures, My Music.
So, should the new path be E:\My Music...........??
Do I still need \Documents and Settings\Guest\My Documents\My Music?

Lastly, though I never use it, will it effect Windows Media Center?

Thanks mucho for your help!!

Not really. Thanks to this awesome site called Google, I can remember how I did it on my pc a few years ago

Correct. Given that you have changed the path to that of your music folder on your D drive.

Yes.
No. But it wont hurt leaving it there. I kept mine to dump all new shit in there before I edit / tag / sort shit out before I add it to my music library.

Not sure. You probably have to update your media library, including the new folder. I have never, not once, used the media centre, so my guess is as good as yours, but not as good as that of googley
And you're whalecumz.

Hey man, another question if I may, for you or anybody?

What's the fastest way to get to my D: drive without having to always go from START to COMPUTER?
I don't want to use ROCKET DOCK if I don't need to.

I want to un-clutter my Desk top as much as possible.

Thanks!

WOWZERS.
How lazy are you?
Shortcut to D drive on your desktop would be the easiest I can think of. Remove all other icons from desktop.
OR
Press window key, then press "D" followed by ":"

Microseconds--->KABLAM.
