But we gave more than we got, and by January, the sector was completely silent. We didn't see anyone on the streets or in the houses for about two weeks straight. It was a ghost town. We had completely demolished Al Qaeda's stronghold.

At the end of those two weeks of silence, families, good families, just looking for a place to raise their children, moved in. A week after that, the market opened up. After that, a school. I didn't have to fire a shot for the remainder of my time in this sector. To this day, that community is thriving. It has been quiet and peaceful and prosperous since we destroyed Al Qaeda.

Communists, in my eyes, accept failure as a fact of life. Americans, on the other hand, do not accept failure as even a possibility.

That is the problem I have with communism. They do not take responsibility for their actions, they blame every external factor but themselves.
