Bah...Easter is nothing more than a pagan fertility ritual.
What the hell do bunny's and eggs have with Christ except more myth-illogical fodder for the masses.
But sure as hell enjoying my days off!

Gonna hide some Easter eggs for the kids, take pics of them hunting for them... and then we're gonna pig out on some honey-baked ham.

I'm just looking forward to my lovely dinner.
We put my sons baskets on his bed while he was sleeping, and when he woke up all you heard was "wow" lol. Im taking him to the Easter egg hunt down by this park, and then cooking a big dinner. We colored eggs yesterday, so tht mess is over with, lol

Oi. The only family we have here is my husband's side... and, well... yesterday we had a Jerry episode right in the middle of a kid's play place we had taken Eagan to.
My SIL managed to run off half the people there with her antics, all while I was attempting to pretend I didn't know them. This, of course, didn't do me any good, because not screaming out white-trash insults is a weakness?
:khi2d:
I was so mortified and shocked that they'd do this kind of stuff RIGHT before Easter... they're "Catholic"... so wouldn't they want to see Eagan on Easter?
Apparently not. After that mess yesterday, I won't be speaking with them for a bit.
_______________
But, more in the spirit of things...
I'm going to make Eagan and his little friend, Addie, an Easter basket and buy myself some peeps. Evil peeps... We'll probably take our celebrating over to where the civil people are (aka, my friends) and do Easter stuff with them :yociexp108:

I dissected a part of a lamb, threw some mozzarella, herbs and garlic in it, tied that shit up and dumped it in the oven. The only thing I hope is that it's eatable.
I also baked a chocolate cake, since I'm so fucking manly.
Behold my greatness!

Not much of an Easter here. As soon as my little monster wakes up from her nap, we're going to color a ton of eggs and try not to tie dye the animals and I'm sure I'll cook something for just the 3 of us later on. Nothing very eventful today.
And I'm guessing each and everyone of you went to church today :yociexp45:
Nope. I don't go to church. Ever.

Hey Jenn, how old is your son?
This year is the first year the easter bunny didn't visit because my daughter informed me only yesterday that she didn't believe anymore. I'm gutted. As a result, today was just like any other normal day to me.

Well....
considering salmon has an ungodly strong flavor, anything done to it to improve the taste could only UP it's status.

Huh? What?
Salmon (of the unsmoked variety) has, by most people's standards, quite a subtle taste.
I love a fresh salmon fillet with a strong sauce to counterbalance the flavour. I recommend a lemon and dill, or lime and coriander... both are excellent.
But, on Good Friday, we had smoked haddock with a creamy parsley sauce.

The reason that I made that quote of the salmon is that I had a wonderful dinner made for me by someone and it involved salmon which was amazing but very ummm how do I put it...well it had alot of bones in it. Instead of it being a fillet it was a steak and it had was more troublesome, but the dinner was great the company was great so it really didnt matter. heehee.. I was just wondering. Smoked salmon on pumpernickle with cream cheese with dill is a gift from God if there is such a thing..

Just a heads up, but I ran out of breath reading that post. Break it up with, oh, I dunno, the odd comma or full stop. Yeah. And other stuff.

Bratmaster has been very Daddy-oriented lately and spent most of the latter half of yesterday crying for him, so I vetoed the movie idea in favor of a day when my husband can come too.
We instead made Easter baskets at our friends' house. Coincidentally, Addie was just as grumpy as he was, so we spent most of the time impersonating them/laughing at them until my hub showed up.
We ended up sending him for fast food, hehe
...Today is another Daddy needy day. He's already called him twice and cried forever over his absence.
:yociexpress09:
Oh gosh, and yesterday, during one of his 'I want my Daddy' fits, he threw a jug of white grape juice at me in the store... where it exploded juice all over me and anyone near me. This was, apparently, amusing enough for him to end his fit.
