Okay I am tired of feeling down and I want to talk about stupid stuff.
Today, I drove to and from work with one hand. It was pouring f*ng rain and my window will not stay up. It slipped off the track and I have not got around to taking my door apart to fix it yet. So in downtown traffic, I am driving with my right hand and holding my window up with my left hand. While doing this I was also smoking and on the phone. I am a multitasking fool.
Anyone know how to take a door apart?

Yeah, you need the bf tool as in BOYFRIEND and if you don't have one of those, get off your lazy ass and learn to do it yourself.
You have no excuse.

Is it a Japanese car?
They are full of shonky workmanship.
Don't touch the door...put a rock through the offending window and claim insurance. Tell them some bastard broke into your car.

What kind of car is it? Different kinds come apart different ways, but still, i wouldn't do it myself if i were you unless you don't mind having to duct tape it back together if you somehow break the plastic paneling. haha
When my window pooped out on me i just stuffed a liner of cork in the crack of the window and that keeps it up for a while until you can get it fixed.

Duck tape.
My tool box, which can fix anything, only have duck tape and wd40. If you need anything else, you have already failed.

The bf tool doesn't seem to be of much use in these instances. It's been my experience that when using the tool called self things get done better. I will attempt to use it this weekend.

Had a Cadillac that had a window (drivers side, no less) pop off the track. We ended up using a doorstop jammed into the door to hold the window up. AND it was still like that when we sold the damned pile of crap. Do you have any idea how much they were gonna charge to fix that? It was outrageous! Just because it said "Cadillac" on the side...

Doorstop? Good idea! I was quoted around $400 which I am NOT going to pay.

Yuppers! A little brown rubber one to be exact. Might want to make it 2, though (experience speaking).

There's usually a rubber strip in the track that holds the window in. If that's dead then the window will keep falling out even if you get it back in.
You can fabricate another one out of a chunk of old head gasket and some sort of adhesive.
If you do it in the middle of winter though the adhesive won't cure unless you drive around with the heater on bombing on silicone for an hour or so. Hypothetically speaking of course.
